Sometimes you only have a little time in day to create and on days like that I make little things. These are two Artist Trading Cards (ATC’s) made using digital background printouts, pattern papers, computer phrase print outs, and collage images.
What I love about ATC’s is they can be layered up to add to a card back, a tag, journals, etc. I always like to add just a little cardstock as a backing/border because it gives extra dimension in my opinion.
Today, I am sharing these little pockets I made that can be tucked into journals. I created them by using old vintage sheet music that was cut to various sizes and folded in half. Using my sewing machine I stitched the sides and bottom. A 1/2 circle was punched at the top, and little bits of ephemera and a tag tucked inside. I then decorated the front with various digital graphic printouts and rubber stamps. The pockets could then be glued into your journal. Very fun to create!
I had a little creative time today and one of the projects that I made was this Gothic Arch. It isn’t a color scheme that I use very often, more fall tones” and yellow I rarely work with. Little bits of song lyrics, digital ephemera, book page, stamping, and collage images added. I always like to mount the paper arch on to a piece of colored cardstock and trim along the edges once complete. In my opinion, it gives it more of a finished look.
Hope you are enjoying the lazy days of summer!
