Today, I am sharing this Tea Stained Vintage Paper Journal with you. It has lots of open space for writing, but beautiful sepia photos, lace, tags incorporated throughout as well.
I started by tea staining both file folders (the journal cover) and mixed media papers. I love how staining (tea or coffee) can give such a wonderful time worn feel to a project.
I cut the cover (File Folder) larger then the signature of mixed media papers and hand sewed it into the book. Inside the front and back covers I made pockets to tuck tags, ephemera, etc. in.
The pages in the journal were decorated with vintage photos and tags that were printed on double sided matte photo paper. I also added some mini envelopes that were embossed on my Sizzix and a giant tea stained envelope in the middle of the book.
Little bits of various antique laces and mother of pearl buttons were added throughout the journal as well. Reproduction 1897 Sears catalog pages were added throughout.
