Sugar Lump Studios

Sugar Lump Studios - A Sweet Smattering of Mixed Media Art

{Vintage Christmas Tin Assemblage}

November 2, 2013

Hello Friends and Happy November!

fallview

I wanted to share my view from the living room window this morning. A cold, wet day but the colors across the lake are bursting and sadly falling down from the tree. I wish the colors of fall lasted for a few months before leaving us.

I’ve been slowly working on some Christmas items and wanted to share this vintage tin assemblage. I used an vintage tea tin, bottle brush trees, Paper Whimsy image, mini ornaments, mica chips, antique lace, Scrabble tiles to create it. I love the pout on the image face!

I am planning on making more blog drafts of work that has been created to share…maybe that way my blog will be updated more often.  Have a wonderful weekend!

    Very cute tin, Nancy!
    I haven’t been very good about posting on my blog either. Too many other things to occupy my time.

    Hello Nancy, it is good to “see” you! Your altered tin is lovely!
    The leaves are in full color here. The sun is shining so brightly today, the trees look like they are lit up. Gorgeous.
    I know that view from your living room and it is stunning. You have such a lovely home and area around. I hope you are not too cold yet. If you get too cold, just come down here and visit me. I have a guest room waiting : )
    Hugs,
    Terri

    Beautiful view. Winter is quickly approaching as is Christmas. It seems Thanksgiving is lost somewhere between Halloween and Christmas. Joyful Bliss…
